Alameda Beach

On June14th,2010, we went to Alameda Beach. We left from school around 10:30am and took the bus to get their. It took like 25 minutes to get there. When we reached there we just started chilling ,eating. We chat a little bit with our teachers about different topics. After chatting a lot I decided to go int he water. Me and my friends,we went in the water. we almost walked half of the beach. We started putting water into each other. I was all wet.We left the beach around 20'clock.When we were walking to the bus stop we all student had a little bit of ice-cream party.All around t was a fun trip.

Albany Bowl

       On June 11th June,2010, we went to Albany to play bowling game. We took the bus to get there. When we got there we rented some shoes and started playing our game .All the students were divided into 4 groups. In my group we had me, Ibrahim, Nestor, Omar and Jhonny. When we started playing, I was winning with lot of struke. But,later unfortunately I started loosing. After the game was over we went to pool, basketball and other different games.

Street Dialogue

Tjay: Hey Rustam this ice-cream is really good.
Rustam: Oh yeah Its very good and aslo its cheap .
Tjay: I am about to eat this ice-cream here everyday.
Rustam: Oh yeah thats the good idea.
Tjay: I am about to bring all of my partners here to enjoy the ice-cream.
Rustam: Me too I will recommend this ice-cream parlor to everyone.

Vietnamese Culture Review

                  Today, I experienced Vietnamese culture. One thing I learned about this culture is they have different kinds of food. In this fieldtrip, I saw different varities of food. This is different than my culture becasue  in our country we have spicy food but the Vietnamese food are mild. In this fieldtrip, I got to taste dofferent kinds of Vietnamese food like chicken wings, egg rolls. It makes me feel happy that i got to learn about Vietnamese culture. I really like it because its kind of interesting thing. I would love to visit this neighbourhood because the food was really good and also I wanna learn more about these culture.

Street Fashion

                     People in Oakland have their own clothing styles. When I walked in the street I saw many people wearing clothes in different ways. People who go to school wear jeans, shirts(casual). People who works wears dress, suits. People wear clothes according to their occupation. By wearing different clothes they say that we should try every types of clothing styles.Once while I was walking on the street I saw a lady. She was attractive to everybody in the street as she was wearing a pink top with purple jeans, red shoes and a yellow sweater. When I saw her my eyes were blinded with her bright colored clothes. I think she was telling people to wear colorful dress to make your day and future bright.A white lady was wearing this outfit. She looked very funny and attractive as she was filled with colored clothes. She had a bad attitude because it seemed like she was on crack(lol). She was aslo yelling at people for some reason.

Tilden Park

                          On June10th,2010, we went to Tilden Park,Berkely. We left school around 8:45 and then we took the bus to get there. When we get there walked for like for 30minutes. We all were already tired before getting there. We saw a lot of animals like pig,chickens,rabbits,sheep,cow,and more. We also fed the animals and took pictures with them. We spend some time there looking around the things they got in there. After we walked again to the other park where we can chill in the sun. When we got there some students started playing soccer, some were listening to music and were tanning. I was doing Ms.julie's makeup and some students were looking at me doing it. We spend like 2 and a half hours in the park. We again took the bus to get to Oakland. All around we had preety much fun.

San Fransisco(Pier 39)

Today 8th June,2010,we went to San Fransisco,Pier 39. We walked a lot around there. We left from Oakland around 8:30 and took the Bart to get in there. When we got in there we started walking all around. After that we get together in a place and our teacher and then our teacher gave us free time for like 15 minute to  hang around by our own. Everybody went to different places and I went to a subway with my two friends as we were so hungry. After 15min we met with all our friends and teachers and then we started walking around the coast to pier 39. When we get there we again got free time for like 1 hour where we can go around by our self.
Me and my friends went to alot of stores but we didn't buy nothig as we were broke!!!hahaha!!!.The most interesting thing that we saw there was a magic. There a was a store where the guy name R.J shows a magic to small kids but we went there too. He showed us different magic like turning paper into money, cards magic and more. It was preety interesting. After walking a lot we were tired and we had a little bit of ice-cream party. As it was already 1hr,we had to get back and were already late. We were running to get to our destiny. People at the street were laughing at us like why are we running. Fourtunately we were there on time but half of the class were not there.Afte that we walked to the bart and then we get back to Oakland. All around it was a fun trip.

         I am Divya.I am from Nepal,an also India. I am 16 years old. I came here in the United States in 2008.I am attending my high school at Oakland International High School. In my free time I like to hang around with my friends, listen music,and mostly sleep. I like making new friends and aslo i have a lot of friends from different countries. In future I want to be a registered nurse(RN). Being a nurse I want to help people and also make enough money.

Vietnamese Food Review

We went to a Vietnamese restaurant.
One of the food we ate is fried chicken wings.
It looks like chicken.
It smells like oil,mustard, and more.
It tastes kind of salty food.

Another food we ate is egg roll.
It looks like a thing rolled in a paper.
It smells like vegetables.
It taste like different vegetables.

One restaurant we went to is named as Pho. It is a small restaurant with Vietnamese food.

Their menu includes chicken wings, egg rolls, soup with differnt flavours, noodles soup, and more. I saw food with different flavours.
